Physics of Sports Project

Project Summary

  • This project was to be able to prove our hypothesis and answer our question that links physics to sports.
  • The skills I learned during this project were to be able to use the tracker program, be able to do correct measurements, and be able to conduct different trials.
  • The content I learned during this project was how levers and fulcrums, centrifugal force, where the position the javelin is, and the work and power you use when throwing a javelin has a major affect on the distance it is thrown.

I included this work sample because this is our poster we presented and I am very proud of it.

I included this work sample because this is our lab report and explains our project with more detail.

Reflection

  • My strengths in this project were knowing how to conduct a trialed experiment, keeping notes, and being organized.
  • My weaknesses in this project were not being able to explain myself as well.
  • If I had this project to do over, I would not be gone as much as I was, do more reserach, and go more into depth with the physics content.
