Experiment Design
Q: How does the angle you throw the javelin affect the distance it lands?
Hypothesis: If we change the angle of the javelin then the distance will change.
Materials:
-
Javelin
-
Hylen
-
Track spikes
Procedure:
-
Before we start we're going to record how Hylen feels, wheather she's sore or got a lot more buffer than she was. We're also going to record the weather conditions and the condition the grass is in.
-
The angles we're going to try are 45 degree, 65 degree, and a 35 degree. We're going to use a trick we learned in geometry to make sure we have the right angle.
-
The distance is going to be measured using a measuring tape. We're going to measure in feet and inches.
- We're going to take video and take notes on the throw.
- In the end we're going to make posters and present our findings.
